Dan represents hotels, restaurants, retail companies and manufacturers in all aspects of alcoholic beverage law including acquisitions and dispositions, entity structuring and general regulatory matters. Dan regularly represents clients before City Councils and Planning Commissions throughout California in connection with Conditional Use Permit hearings and determinations of Public Convenience or Necessity relating to the sale of alcoholic beverages.
Dan also advises on the purchase and sale of wineries, and handles various regulatory issues associated with winery operations.
Dan has experience in real estate law, including the leasing of restaurant and commercial office properties, and the acquisition and disposition of commercial office properties, restaurants, wineries, hotels and hospitality properties.
Dan is a member of the California, Colorado and Arizona bar associations.

Prior to joining DJK Law Group, Kate worked as Licensing and Compliance Manager for a senior housing company with a focus on operational and development licensing nationwide. Kate has experience with acquisitions and dispositions of properties, entity formation and structures, state and federal regulatory licensing and healthcare compliance.

MANNY DIAZ - Government Consultant

Manny assists hotels, restaurants and general retail companies in all aspects of alcoholic beverage licensing and trade practices. Prior to his consulting work, Manny worked for the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (“ABC”) for over 30 years, rising to the ranks of Assistant Director of the Northern Division. During his tenure at the ABC, Mr. Diaz also served as District Administrator of the Santa Rosa District Office and the Supervisor of the San Francisco District Office.
